Looking at the polls; Stadiums
The battle for “who’s #1″ is even more interesting.
In the AP Poll:
USC lost the #1 ranking, falling to #2 with 1,591 points and 32 first-place votes to LSU’s 1,593 points and 33 first place votes… yes, that’s a grand total of one first-place vote and two overall points in the difference
(putting it second to the second poll of the 2002 season, when Miami and Oklahoma tied for No. 1 and each received 27 first-place votes –I guess that’s why they made it an odd number)
In the Coaches Poll:
USC remains #1 keeping a more substantial lead: 1,483 points and 45 first-place votes to LSU’s 1,454 points and 14 first-place votes.
And Cal is #3! USC plays at Cal later this season in what promises to be a big, big game.
Does LSU still think the AP Poll isn’t important?
